The Corona Virus Threat in Texas

The Corona Virus Threat in Texas

As the Corona Virus spreads more thru out the U.S., the time for Hyper Fusion to act I’m afraid has come.  Since Hyper Fusion is an internet provider, our field staff are constantly going in and out of many different folks homes.  Many of these homes are vacation homes where folks come in from Austin, San Antonio and Dallas.  With the virus now more rapidly spreading and our #1 interest is the health and safety of our customers, we will be making the following adjustments in what we do in order to reduce the chances of transmission as much as possible.

President Trump as recommended that all people who travel self quarantine.  We know this may sound extreme but its alot better than the alternative.  As many of you know from our last post, where coming up on a major storm over the next 10 days.  Since we already have toned down work, we are going a little further with our procedures for the rest of March.  What does that mean for our existing Hyper Fusion customers and our future ones?

1. Our field team will NOT be entering any homes or any other structure.  Our field team goes in and out of many buildings and this just increases the chances of transmission of the virus.  Hyper Fusion is not equipped with level 5 bio-hazard gear in order to prevent moving the virus from 1 customer to another.

2. Any existing customers whose radios move, we will be conducting repairs and fine tunes, but we ask that you implicitly remain in your home while this service is conducted to minimize transmission risk.

3. New customers requesting service will NOT be able to be installed until sometime next month due to all the complications the weather and the virus have caused, although exceptions maybe made for critical business or government circuits.

4. If you had a pending appointment, install, un-install, service transfer, or any other request, it may now be delayed by weeks.  We ask that anyone with questions, comments, or concerns email support@hyperfusiontech.com  with a short subject in the subject line and then your request in the main part of the email.

As you can see, even our bank released a notice to all their customers regarding their efforts with this growing epidemic.  Hyper Fusion remains committed to its customers and will continue to do everything possible to keep our customers safe, informed, and we will do everything in our power not to let this epidemic effect continuity of our network connectivity and other services we may provide.

Customer support during this time may be delayed and we ask everyone to bear with us while we work thru it.  Additionally, we will be putting all jobs back in our queue, this is the opportune moment to “reset” our field jobs to make sure everyone gets helped appropriately.

We will keep everyone in our thoughts and still remain mindful of everything going on with the situation and our managers will be monitoring the situation daily.  For current customers, we will still pass on all information as we get it within our Slack workspace on our breaking news channel and keep our every growing network of customers, local business owners, and other local officials to keep everyone as informed as possible.

Thanks,
The Hyper Fusion Team

Special Update

Hey everyone, as y’all know we just recently put out a long overdue update and as I’m sure many of our very happy satisfied customers have noticed a drastic improvement in network stability, speed, and quality over the past 6 months.  Will has been working tirelessly to correct all the sloppy work conducted the first part of 2019 to make sure everything was set right.

Our new management team that we’ve formed is really starting to get in sync and get a solid routine and got all our work separated out and this beast running like a well oiled machine.  With that in mind, as we prepare for the rainy season this month, all our managers have studied the last 5 years of weather data, checked the  local weather stations as well as predictions from local weather agencies like KXAN and Weather Underground to be better prepared for weather events that can cause scheduling havoc due to backups and installation jobs we can’t complete because of weather.

With that in mind, its looking like starting this Friday until the last few days of the month are going to be constant rain, storms, and wind.  As such, we have suspended scheduling anymore brand new fresh installs.  Over the course of this coming week, we will ONLY be focusing on customer repairs, and then batten down a few of our repeater sites to ensure our towers stay strong.  Across the middle 2 weeks of the month we will make sure we get out and repair everything we can in between breaks in the storms.

However, construction of the Equrina Big tower , Briggs Tower site and expansion, Naruna tower re-structure, Kingsland North Re-structure, and the Chica Ranch fiber DMARC install have all been suspended, most likely for the month.  As the month develops we will of course update everyone on the out-come, and any changes in our field situation.  We ask that you bear with us and understand we only have a few weeks of weather and other administrative hoops we’re having to jump thru to close out last summers damage to our network, which is now 98% or so repaired and nearly every customer satisfied.   All hands will be on deck this week in the field so if you can’t get a hold of anyone in Slack or on the phone, that’s why.  We are checking things as we go along and doing our best to keep up, but this is part of the reason we’ve suspended new signups, is to spend March getting all caught up with work so folks don’t have to wait 3 months to get installed.

Regards,
The Team @ Hyper Fusion

Spring Cleaning Is Here!!

PUTTING 2019 BEHIND US

So, it’s been a crazy start to 2020 but the newly reformed Hyper Fusion team has the bull by the horns now!  Hyper Fusion has survived some craziness since we stared in June of 2017.  Now that our re-structuring is complete and official and we can move on and get to focusing on what truly matters, our customers.    With that in mind, there will be some changes moving forward in how Hyper Fusion is operated.  We are gearing up to get some more upgrades and licences from several places so that we can operate a more professional, stable, and robust network.  In order to get those licences however, we have to have all other parts of our machine in tip top shape.

POLICY AND POSITION CHANGE UPS

As Hyper Fusion continues to grow and we’re breaking over our 20th repeater site and with Will’s drive to re-form Hyper fusion into a well oiled machine, we have restructured the way in which we do everything and established a clear separation of lanes to keep everything running well and everyone taken care of in a timely manner.

As many of our current customers may know Chris, our Technology Manager and Chief Scientist behind our network, Chris has helped fill in some of the customer support positions, helping schedule, processing service credits, and things of that nature.  As our network as grown he needs to have his focus solely on the network and its digital and physical security, as such, Chris will no longer be available to speak with customers, and will have extremely limited time to post in our slack work space, however, we have several other staff that will be and are able to help with ALL customer needs moving forward.   With that in mind, we are also switching to our new year round schedule for our live support hours are as follows:

Monday thru Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Although our live support hours for customer support are limited to the above, onsite installations, repair calls, upgrade calls and other appointments although focused Monday thru Friday, but we are now taking certain appointments by schedule only and for an added fee on weekends, 7 days a week so we can get caught up with our extremely large waiting list.  The 3 listed staff between them have full authority to assist ALL customers with ANY request or need they may have, we need our Chief Scientist to do what he does best, create.

Accounting Manager
—————-
All question regarding your bill, credits, discounts, or any questions regarding how much something may cost can now be addressed directly by emailing  billing@hyperfusiontech.com , by logging into your Fusion portal and opening a new ticket, or by calling our live support phone number (512-790-2250) during our new live support hours mention above and selecting the billing option and you’ll be put in direct touch with our Accounting Manager Debra.  As a side note, moving forward like all other telecommunications companies, there will be no more yearly or multi month “billing plans”,  each month you will receive a monthly bill with your normal rate like any other utility bill, plus tax. There will also not be any cash payment discounts and would prefer checks or your banks bill payment system with your Account ID# on it,  being mailed to PO Box 1442, Burnet, Tx 78611.

Operations Manager
———————–
If you have a scheduled appointment and need to change it, have questions on engineering, your circuit not quite working right, now we have someone specifically to handle those questions and get you set so that appointments are kept and held on time and tight communication is kept between Hyper Fusion and our customers allowing for speedier more timely onsite appointments, whether new installations or repairs.

Field Manager
—————-
Will of course is going to remain our field manager.  There’s just no one better in the field, and clearly over the last 6 months as Will is brought our network up to Hyper Fusion’s strict code of standards.  There just is no one better.  However, if you have any questions for Will regarding your circuit, we ask that you email support@hyperfusiontech.com  and he will get to your tickets as soon as he can.  Quite clearly, he’s the busiest person here at Hyper Fusion and in super high demand.

HYPERNET ROLL OUT

As we move forward with the marriage of the north and south networks into 1 single network as it should be, we are going to be completely restructuring EVERY repeater site in our network.  Will is going to be personally visiting every single repeater site to replace lines, re-point and re-secure gear, replace “clog” gear, upgrade maxed out links, and other things of that nature, as well as installing special new routers programmed, configured, and setup by Chris, the Chief Scientist behind the HyperNET.  Although Will will be visiting each site and installing new equipment, the new configurations will not roll out until all tower site re-structures are complete.  So far, Council Creek, 7 Creeks, Lampasas South, and Adamsville South.  The new HyperNET network will boast the following upgrades over our current system:

  • True Routed Smart Mesh Network – We will be adding special routers to all of our repeater sites that will allow us to install additional links to other repeater sites instead of just a single one.  This will give almost all of our repeater sites a diverse path across our network to ensure connectivity is maintained.  What this will allow us to do is re-route repeater site traffic if the preferred tower to tower link is either down or over loaded to ensure everyone is always on and always getting package and won’t put so much pressure on Will to get out there immediately.
  • Multi-Homed Autonomous Network – Basically, just a fancy term for “we have 2 internet providers that provide us our internet access”.  We currently have two different providers, each that provide us with a 1 Gig Dedicated Fiber Circuit, 1 up north installed at the Kempner North Site, and 1 down south, installed at the Burnet Main Site.  The primary difference however, is we will not be “getting internet access” from these 2 providers, but instead what is called a peering agreement.  Basically, we’ll have a set of IP Subnets that are assigned to us by ARIN, the folks who control IP addresses directly, instead of getting them from another ISP.  Then, our equipment “broadcasts” our assigned IP Subnet to the rest of the entire internet thru all of our peers, and we will be adding a 3rd peering provider to our network in the east to ensure a very diverse network with many options out to the internet to provide unparalleled stability in the rural internet market.
  • Tier 3 Provider Designation – Once we complete our HyperNET roll out and our peering agreements are actively firing across our single unified network, by designation and certification of ARIN we will have an official tier 3 provider designation and will no longer be “just a reseller” like all the other rural WISPs.  You can not get this designation without having at least 2 varying provider peering agreements of 1 gig or better fiber connections and having ACTUAL documentation they check out to verify all peering agreements and technical ability of executive staff before you can get this designation.
  • IPv6 Roll Out – As some of you may know, IPv4 IP’s are exhausted world wide, meaning, there are simply not left for ARIN to hand out.  The fact that we only have a limited amount of IPv4 addresses made available to us by the companies we have peering agreements set with, its caused some problems amongst our X-Box One users.  this will resolve that issue, as everyone will be getting a free IPv6 /64 IP Address subnet assigned to EVERY customer.  Which litterally is well over a million IPv6 addresses per customer, more than you’ll ever use.  IPv6 is a 64 bit system for IP address so there are way more possible addresses than on the older 32bit IPv4 system.  We will however be maintaining a dual stack system and legacy IPv4 addresses for legacy customer requirements, but will be charging $30 per month for a dedicated IPv4 address, and $15 a month for a shared or “pooled” address.
  • 1st Generation “Nano Pod Caching Cluster” Deployment – We will be installing a set of highly specialized server clusters that we will be installing in the Kempner and Burnet Main gear houses with the specific purposes of storing a copy of the most watched Netflix videos.

UNFULFILLED REQUESTS

We have completed a full audit of our entire customer list and identified each customer that’s waiting on an install, repair, or billing issue and over the next 30 days will be working super hard to rectify each and every account and bring each and every circuit up to current Hyper Fusion Code of Standards to ensure reliable and stable internet for our entire network.

Existing Customers:  We ask that you bear with us, we are going to focus on you first, and starting with our oldest requests first and working from there.  Next up with this schedule is the Equrina Big tower.  Our Operations Manager will make a post in our slack workspace as far as when this is going to happen.

New Customers Who Have Signed Up, but haven’t gotten a call from Hyper Fusion Yet:  You are on our radar, but we’re currently 6 weeks out on putting on new customers.  We’re focusing on completing our year end audit and re-visiting every single customer to ensure everyone is up to code.

New Customers Who Have Not Signed Up Yet:  Please understand, if you fill out the “Get Service” link, new installations are currently 6 to 8 weeks booked out due to our 100 Mbps + service in most areas we are extremely popular and have grown faster then Will and our 1 field team can handle on their own, but we are working on getting a 2nd field team up and going just as soon as we can.

Prior Customers Waiting On Un-Resolved Matters:  There are still 9 customers yet waiting on resolutions from the issues we had Summer of 2019, for those customers we will have your accounts resolved with in the next 60 days.  Now that Will has gotten things pretty much put back together with the help of our accounting manager and operations manager we will be focusing on closing out the rest of any trailing issues from 2019.  This includes the group of customers that lost their circuits due to the Arrowhead repeater being un-installed and the couple of customers left over yet from the Lampasas North tower being un-installed.

Sincerely,
The NEW Hyper Fusion Management Team

Hyper Fusion Win’s Locals Love Us 2020!!

We can’t believe it.  I guess proof is in the pudding as they say.  But all our loyal subscribers voted us Best Internet Provider in Burnet for Locals Love Us 2020, Best of The Highland Lakes!  We are officially an award winning provider!  We have worked tirelessly over the past couple of years to ensure that not only do we have the fastest network in The Greater Highland Lakes area, but we also have the best prices around.  No one can top our Hometown Care model for customer support, and are technical expertise is unmatched compared to the other local providers in our class.

Over the next year we aim to improve out network by adding a 2nd tier and launching a true multi-honed and dual stacked IPv4 / IPv6 pure digital network.  We really want to leave out re-seller status behind and operate our own backbone internet network and participate in global internet routing.  On the link below, on the 101highlandlakes website, we are listed a little over half way down under “Home Services” / INTERNET PROVIDER

Saying Goodbye to 2019

Closing out 2019

Well 2019 has surely been an interesting year.  The only thing that remains worth saying in our eyes I would suppose is;

“That which doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger.”

Pretty much sums up Hyper Fusion’s year.  Clearly since we have made our adjustments from this summer, they where both needed and drastically helped.  Our network is back to fire fast with all 16 of our repeater sites firing as expected and both of our fiber to the home DMARCS now operational and firing strong and customers who where getting only 15 Mbps speed tests, now getting 100 Mbps + speed tests we couldn’t be happier.  Proof is in the pudding.  Clearly expunging what was needed did the trick.

Hyper Fusion is rapidly on its way to not only becoming a top notch professional Texas company, but also rapidly on its way to being the dominant internet provider in the Greater Highland lakes area.  We are constructing, installing, and selling our OWN private fiber.  We are not calling up AT & T and having them install circuits and then slapping our sticker on it.  We are bringing in BRAND NEW infrastructure and its taking some time over the last 6 months to deliver that but we’re FINALLY there and both rural and in Burnet and Kempner, fiber to the home and business is now possible in several different areas.  With this as a result, we’ve decided to pay no attention to the fact that the other guys still try to copy us and simply just fall short.

Coming in 2020!

In the year ahead Hyper Fusion will remain committed to fine tuning our process, building up our network, caring for our loyal customer base first, and always striving to improve our network, services, and products.  We will be focusing on beefing up each and every repeater site we currently operate so that EVERYONE will have at least 2 tower to tower multi-gigabit capable backbones, and we will also be fiber connecting as many of our repeater sites as possible for the primary links to ensure network stability.  We’re also looking forward to rolling out IPv6 so there will be unlimited free IP’s for everyone!  Another big roll out for us coming in 2020 is our Hyper Vision Cloud TV service.  We are getting close to wrapping up the 2nd of the 3 development phases during alpha testing.  Our On Demand trans-coding servers are nearly production ready and we have a massive library of over 200 complete TV series and 1000 movies already in our library.  The final piece we are working on is the live TV.  We have 23 channels now streaming and recording to the Cloud DVR correctly.  In a few weeks we will be completing the web interface, Android App, and Nintendo Switch App, which these 3 platforms will be our 3 launch platforms for the Hyper Vision Cloud TV service.  So be sure to check back to our website for posts regarding this because when we do our public beta release of our Hyper Vision Cloud TV product, since a streaming service will be launched state wide and available to ALL of Texas no matter where you live.

Current Customer Updates

Our field staff will be visiting every repeater site over the next week or so to conduct the updates that have been discussed in the real-time network news channel on our slack work-space.  As I’m sure many of you have seen from the ridiculous 200 Mbps + speed tests some folks have been getting with almost everyone hitting over 100 Mbps + speeds now, even the super far away customers.  While we do this customers will burp and go up and down.   We should be complete by Jan. 3rd.  With the exception of those customers who have been contacted, we will be resuming normal field work on Jan. 6th when our winter break ends.  Live customer support agents will return to their stations on Jan. 7th.

When our live customer support agents return, we will have our phone system freshly updated as well.  Please bear in mind, when you call in between Tuesday and Friday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, you need to listen to the message, in the message, it says, press 1 to speak with a live customer support agent.  Chris will be doing some heavy updating to ensure the phone queue works correctly.  We are now going to be having 2 people logged in to take phone calls and answer web chat support requests over our website.  Another thing we’re going to be ensuring that ALL of our staff comb thru tickets every day to make sure everyone is getting replied to no matter what the issue is.

We are down to just a handful of customer issues from the summer time and those customers waiting for resolution on those accounts will be cleared up over the next couple weeks finally as we need to complete finishing up paying off the last of our taxes and other bills from 2019 to close out the mess we were left which has now been nearly completely cleaned up by the new qualified management team.

Thank you for all your support everyone, and we wish everyone the best 2020 that they can have!

The Team @ Hyper Fusion

Holiday 2019 Weekend Update

Burnet Fusion Fiber Rollout

As you can see from our first FTTH (Fiber to the Home) download test, we are screaming.  Faster than any other provider by far.  We are the new GOLD STANDARD for The Greater Highland Lakes Rural Internet.  NO OTHER provider drills their own fiber or has the certified staff to do so.  Accept no substitute, the future of internet in this area is here.

Holiday 2019 Schedule

Our entire Hyper Fusion office will be shutting down at the end of the day Friday at 3PM to close for our Winter Break until Jan. 2nd.  During this time, no live customer support staff or office staff will be available however, Emili can assist with basic things.  Our NOC will have an on call engineer watching the network in case of emergency as well as 1 on call field staff in case of emergency repair.

Additionally, due to another recent posting somewhere, which we haven’t figured out yet, we’ve had yet another explosion of new service requests.  As much as it is a pain in the butt, we are now COMPLETELY BOOKED OUT FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY.  So, if you sign up for service, please note, although we can get your survey conducted in January, you will not be able to be installed until February, so please ONLY register if you are willing to wait.  We are in super high demand as you can see from the speed test above as a result.  We, unlike most providers, take the time and care to carefully correct all issues in our network and customer portal system.  We are also taking the time to upgrade some key repeater sites that where horribly damaged by staff that are no longer with us.

Hyper Vision Cloud TV Update

As we get nearer our public beta release of our Hyper Vision Cloud TV service, we are now rolling out the live TV functions of the service.  Our on-demand / DVR / Streaming library and basic interface which we’re using a 3rd part interface, but the transcoding and server processing is done in house, and the new Hyper Vision proprietary interface will be launched with the public beta.  With that, we are looking for 10 more ACTIVE AND IN GOOD STANDING Hyper Fusion customers to join our alpha testing for the live TV functions and Cloud DVR functions.  We are also looking for a special 5 users to help test the Hyper Vision Nintendo Switch Application.  That’s right folks, we have finally received our Nintendo Switch dev kit and will be launching our officially licensed Nintendo Switch Hyper Vision Cloud TV app starting with the Switch.  Get access to all your TV, DVR, on the go or at home with your switch!  With my new compression I’m able to hit a full 1080 HD while only using 1.5 to 2 Mbps of internet to drastically save on mobile data while your out and about.  Just check out the little video. =)  If your interested, just private message @HFT-Chris  and he will get you info and you’ll need to ask him if you want to be an alpha test.  It costs nothing right now, and is 100% free.  We will be selecting 5 of the alpha testing group to beta test the new mobile TV boxes / 4G LTE hotspots / Mobile power desktop / Gaming PC / 100% zero cords plug into it plugless TV box, set top box hybrid device thingys, lol.  We’re calling them Hyper Vision Boxes as a prototype name, but I’m sure our awesome business team will come up with some kewl name..

Real Time Network News Update

So, surely seems like Slack was the way to go.  We’re pushing almost 1/4 of our customer base is in our slack chat now, so we’re hoping to get at least 75% of our customer base in there, so for those of you who haven’t done so yet, login to your Fusion Portal, click on your control panel, and the button to jump in our real time network news chat is in there.  ALL of our staff are in there, and when they are not, our AI built in house, is able to answer some basic questions.   We are building quite a set of tools from help files from Emili, to network settings short cuts, all kinds of things and our customers are LOVING IT.

Weekend Update for December 7th

New Realtime Network News Chat Chosen

Hey folks, just to let everyone know, we have finally settled on Slack as our new platform for our Realtime Network News customer chat.  We have all our staff in there as well.  So, EVERYONE can always get network status questions and be in the know.  And as you can see from the speed test results, making the change we did over the summer was CERTAINLY what the doctor ordered.  The results speak for themselves.

In order to get into our Slack Workspace, you must be a currently active customer and login to your Fusion Portal online, and then click on the “Control Panel” link on the left hand side of your Fusion portal, as pictured and you’ll see a “Join Us On Slack” button there.  It is a good idea to sign up for a free Slack account first.  It’s 100% free, only requires your email address, and you can set any display name you like, so its super privacy friendly.   https://www.slack.com   Once you’ve signed up, then login to your Fusion Portal and click the button.  We’ll see you there! =)

DATA THRU PUT

We also recently saw one of our competitors posted their overall network usages for a 7 day period which clocked out at a little over 25 TB.  Below is a screen shot out of JUST 1 of our campground park wide systems.  As you can see, we push well over twice that off just a SINGLE customer.  Our 1 campground does more than twice the amount of thru put as that particular competitor.  We clearly outclass most other competitors in our market.  This is what you can expect from an internet company founded by technology folks and not business folks.  Clearly we know what the business guys are after.  We are professional technology people folks, with 60+ years of technology experience behind our top 3 technology partners, it shows in our results, how much data we move, and the fact that we’re the ONLY rural provider for hundreds of miles that does fiber and rural fiber IN HOUSE, and once we have our live Streaming TV launched sometime next year; we WILL be the top rated and top grossing provider in the Greater Highland Lakes and Central Texas areas.  Every day we are drilling with our customer support and staying on our field team to keep their amazing work going!

BURNET SOUTH FIBER WILL BE GOING LIVE THIS WEEK EVERYONE!!!

Competitors Copying Us

We’ve also had several folks ask us what we’re going to do about the other competitors blatantly copying our website posts, and other functions of our business model, the short answer; nothing, as copying is the sincerest form of flattery and clearly have no ability to come up with unique ideas on their own.  Besides, Hyper Fusion is happy to lead the way in the gold standard of rural internet and happy to lead the way and show others how to do it properly so everyone can thrive and flourish.

Feeding trolls is a complete waste of time.  Besides, we are busy out installing new customers and building new repeater sites, while they are stuck at their office, busy copying our work, and when they can’t duplicate it, they just call up AT & T, let them install it, and than slap their sticker on it and call it a day.  That’s not what we do.  We’re also not going to be making any more social media posts about it, or even entertain it anymore.  We kindly ask that our current and future customer base, just accept that we are far to busy to even give it a second thought and with only a single tower, it won’t be long before they go out of business anyhow.  We are no longer even concerned with any facebook posts, so we’re just going to let that horse stay dead and buried once and for all.  We are far to busy building a professional company, and providing LIVE internet services to customers all across Burnet, Lampasas, Llano, Belle, and Williamson counties.  We kindly thank everyone in advance.

Rural Broadband in 2019

As I’m sure many of you know, even in our local area, broadband in 2019 has still been a hairy situation for the Highland Lakes, even 2 years into 5 plus new providers.  Rural broadband continues to be a struggle, not only for consumers to get services, but for small and even medium size providers to be able to impact this.  There’s been a lot of chatter on Facebook groups regarding 4G providers coming into this specific area to offer home internet, lots of talk about 5G going to change the market, but the fact of the matter is, that is just not true.

Bigger providers like the big box wireless and big box data names are purely focused on the metro markets.  Regardless of what you may have heard.  There have been PLENTY of news stories put out how many cable TV providers and wireless providers, even though they have mobile service, focus on metro areas, as that’s where most of the people reside.  So if your one of the hold outs for this, your gonna be on that bus an awful long time waiting for it to arrive.

President Obama tried to do something about it, and failed horribly.  Even President Trump tried, but somehow, took a cheap route out, and instead of actually helping the problem, simply lowered the standard enough, so that that it landed at the speeds of most 4G LTE networks to claim he “got everyone broadband”.  Cheap way out.  And if that wheren’t enough, we have big box data trying to buy up the spectrum that small WISP’s and RISP’s like ours are relying on to continue upgrading our networks.  The simple matter of the situation folks is, there is no internet coming from any big box company, not for many, many, years.  If the Highlands Area has any hope of getting broadband like all the rest of metro America we need to band together and build our own brand new network.

Watch the YouTube video below posted on the channel @Vox which has pretty reliable sources to get you started on your hunt for information on why internet is still spotty in this area in 2019.  Don’t just take my word on it, or the information you get out of the video, but use it as a jump point for you to do your own research.  Read for yourself those Connect America documents and the misinformation that’s in them.  On the surface it leads less informed folks to belive, that as some in some facebook groups claim, is coming.  I like to present people with all the information at hand, at let them decide for themselves.  Our customer base are bright and informed individuals.  Just because we live out in the sticks doesn’t mean we don’t want highspeed broadband internet like the rest of America.

So, I suppose by now, your asking yourself, okay Mr. Hyper Fusion CEO, what do you plan to do about it?  Well, as I’m sure many of you already know, Hyper Fusion exploded way to big, way to fast.  We’ve taken a dedicated approach over the last 2 months to put in lots of extra hours in our field not only going back to upgrade our existing tower infrastructure, but also, do go back and re-tune alot of our original customers and get cracking on ramping up piling thru our new service request backlogs.  As our new customer sign rate has once again surged, the most recent round of updates and their results have no doubt gotten around.  After repairing all the damage from previous unskilled and untrained staff we are about 75% complete with repairing this damaged and those areas that are now back to the insane speeds they where, we aim to make a heavy push on installing as many folks as we can over the winter.  We have gone back thru each and every circuit 1 by 1 for our year end audit to identify week circuits and will be super beefing up everything we already have over the next 4 to 8 weeks thru the winter so that come spring time we can get back to building new repeaters and expanding and offering other folks awesome prices on internet.

The primary problem with internet in this area, with many of the other providers, is every one of those providers in Lampasas is feeding off AT & T’s already over exhausted fiber network out there and are all squabbling over a customer here and a customer there.  Additionally, you have the City of Lampasas trying to deploy their own fiber network and charge EVERY citizen for it, regardless if they have internet, as I’m told, this is their line of thinking.  If I where them, I’d probably think twice.  Texas State Law to the best of my knowledge, specifically says this illegal for a municipality to own or operate, either directly, or in-directly thru a 3rd party provider, wherein the municipality has any influence or control.  So, having another local provider do it for them, as one of them as claimed they are doing, is actually highly against Texas State Law.

We’re not looking to take advantage of folks like this, that’s why our subscription rates are on ave, 30% lower than any other provider in our class.  Our website traffic ranking continues to increase and out traffics all other competitors, including Rise Broadband and Grande Communications.  Don’t believe us?  Visit https://www.alexa.com  ( powered by Amazon folks ) and look for yourself.  Every day more and more posts are going up from the last several weeks and drastic shift in Hyper Fusion as a whole.  We don’t ever want our customers to feel ignored, or passed over.  We are going to make an extreme push over the month of December thru until Christmas to continue to answer every phone call and reply to every ticket.  We are very quickly getting caught up now that we have another full time field engineer who can climb towers!!  Blake continues to amaze us all and has become instrumental in getting Hyper Fusion’s field back together.  Additionally, we have an outstanding new business management and accounting team who has managed to get all our bills, tower rents, and most other affairs all back going the right direction and has us well on our way to becoming a power house in the central Texas rural internet market.

It has taken Will more than 5 months to put the field back together and he’s still not all the way complete yet.  He is a machine and continues to amaze all of us how it is that between Will and Blake there is twice as much work getting done during the 2nd half of the year, as compared to the first half of the year when we had a total of 4 running around thinking they knew what they where doing.  Clear, the proof is in the pudding as they say.  As we bring 2019 to a close, we’re also making a commitment as a company and a staff to put the past behind us and forget about all those folks who have tried to poke at Hyper Fusion as we grew.  We survived.  We remain.  We VOW that we will fight at all costs to make sure Hyper Fusion continues to be around for generations to come and we will never stop fighting for what’s right, and we aim to fulfill  those gaps in rural broadband by bringing OUTSIDE providers, and not just re-selling AT & T, we remain committed to always operating our own wireless and fiber network IN-HOUSE and not having a 3rd party company operate our gear and network for us and claim its ours.  We remain committed to NEVER call AT & T up, to order an install at a customer location, and when they are complete and its working, simply slap our sticker on it and call it ours.    We install our own right of way infrastructure, we run our own cable to customer locations, we PRIVATELY OWN the fiber we lay.   We do all our web programming in-house as well as all of our wireless network administration.  That’s why other WISP’s continue to fail, yes, they may know “how to link a radio” but they know nothing about network design, gear selection, real time network monitoring and administration, proactively reacting to daily changing wireless environments, and protecting networks from internet threats.

Burnet Fiber To The Home & Business Launches!

That’s right folks, we have now finally completed our Burnet Fiber Gateway & DMARC.  We have access to more then a dozen 10 Gig / 100 Gig Fiber lines, so WAY MORE than the entire city will ever use.  We are hoping to fiber connect every building in town just as fast as we can.  To get started, we are launching our Fiber To The Home & Business in the area listed below first.  The first 10 residential or business customers to sign up will be installed before Christmas!!  However, to get one of these coveted spots, you must select a 2 year agreement and remit all your construction surcharges to get installed.

Remember folks, this is hardline fiber directly connected to our upstream fiber provider who maintains almost an exclusively Texas wide network across all major cities.  All fiber plans come with a 99.9% uptime SLA guarantee.

CLICK HERE to sign up and get all the details.

DON’T GET FOOLED by other providers claiming to have fiber when they don’t, they are just reselling AT & T.  Unless your provider has a Right of Way Permit issued by the city ( which are public records by the way ), it’s NOT their fiber.  If your provider recently dug their own fiber, they will have photos like the phones listed below.  We are the ONLY provider in the hill country to deliver our OWN Fiber to the Home & Business.  We don’t just slap our sticker over AT & T’s and call it our own.  We pull our permits, provide the necessary proof of technical knowledge, and obtain our permits to operate in the right of ways and are in tight communication with all the other utility companies that also reside in those right of ways.  Something the other guys, CLEARLY don’t do.  We’ve also posted pictures of one of our fiber to the home installations, as you can see, we’re digging our own privately owned fiber here people.  This is born in the Greater Highland Lakes area, and made just for the citizens of the Greater Highland Lakes Area.

Next up for Fusion Fiber is installation of our Briggs Fiber DMARC and Wireless Repeater Site.  Then who knows where we will go!

Thanksgiving 2019 Update

Overview

I’m sure as many of you know, over the last several months there’s been a drastic increase, and improvement across all areas of Hyper Fusion.  The network is faster, customer support has drastically improved, appointments are being kept on time, and the backlog is being piled through in a hurry.  The proof is in the pudding as they say.  It seems we are doing FAR better.  All the way around.  We have a new field person who actually installs our circuits to code, a well trained new live customer support person, and we also have an insanely good  business management team. Also we have welcomed our new awesome Accounting Manager whose really help to shift the tide here at Hyper Fusion.

As a reminder, our current primary office phone number is ( 512 ) 790  – 2250

Our Live Customer Support Agent Hours:  Tuesday – Friday 10am – 4PM

South Network Exhaustion Progress

We have finally have power at our Burnet Gateway Fiber DMARC site.  FINALLY! We are now just waiting on our upstream provider to come out and deliver our device to get this network cooking.  The uplink to Burnet Main has already been installed and already measured at the full 1.5 Gbps transfer rate between our Burnet Main tower to our new gateway site.  This will be a massive upgrade from the current 0.3 Gbps transfer rate we have now.  Our primary gateway access to the internet will also be fully off the Spectrum Coax that went 300 Mbps down by 20 Mbps, to a circuit connection that runs at 1,000 Mbps down and up!  This will no doubt make anyone connected to the south network screaming fast and resolve those exhaustion issues.  We will make a public post on our site once it is hot, although most of you will see the difference as soon as you use your internet. Please be advised that when we do go hot at our DMARC that you may lose service for 5-10 minutes while we make the change, but you will come right back up with faster speeds.

Realtime Network News Chat Officially Moves to Slack

If you are an active Hyper Fusion customer and want to join the new real time news group chat, simply login to your portal, and on the left hand menu, click on Control Panel, and as in the example screenshot below, you’ll see the slack button.  Just make sure you have signed up for a slack account.  Why the move to slack?  Well, for starters, hangouts will eventually be going away, and we didn’t want to use any service tied to Facebook or Google, Apple. We also needed a chat that Emili could interface with. We offer this chat as a service to our customers as a courtesy and we feel Slack is the best choice for Hyper Fusion.

Slack has a web interface, android app, and an apple app, so no matter which way you’d like to use it, there is an interface for you.

New Live Customer Support Agent Has Joined The Live CSA Pool

We’re pleased to announce we have a new agent working our Live CSA Pool.  That means, during all normal live customer support hours ( Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 4PM ) she will be answering phones and taking web chat support requests from visitors on our website.  As I’m sure some of you have started to notice, nearly every call is being answered now.

Halloween Weekend Update

First, we would like to apologize we havn’t posted a weekend update in a few weekends as we have been busy helping in the field and conducting other business so we figured we would put out this weekends update a little early as we move into the weekend.  As the month draws to a close there have been some ups, and there have been some downs.  I figure best to start with the downs.

Google Hangouts Closing & New Platform for Realtime News Group Chat Required

As much as it sucks we’ve known for sometime this was going away.  We have created a voting form for all our loyal customers to choose the new platform we move to in order to handle the realtime news group chat.  We have selected the choices based off our programmers knowledge and abilities to link them into our communications platform.  Voting will close Nov. 1st and that weekend we will impliment the top voted platform for the new real time news group chat.  Here is a link to the anonymous voting form:

Kempner North

Monday, November 4th we have a scheduled job to take down the North network completely.  We’re having to repair the fiber line that one of our old terminated staff from this summer attempted to do and turns out they can not terminate fiber like we had expected.  In some rare cases during heavy network load speeds off random customers are effected by this so we are replacing all the ends and calling in a professional fiber company to fix the ends since this particular staff whom we can not name refuses to return our fiber tools so that we can and those are specialized tools that you can’t just go down to the home depot and buy.  We are going to do this early in the morning at 7 am, and shouldn’t take more than an hour to complete.  Additionally, we will be installing a full professional dual cabinet fiber DMARC ground mounted fiber DMARC equipment enclosure with our shiny new permit to put in the right of way as the Primary Lampasas County Fiber Gateway, and we will be removing the shaddy old equipment shed that’s there now as well as completely replacing all lines on the tower and upgrading the west and south access points to the super heavy duty big Gen 6 chesty access points.

Additionally as 580 Midway ( Little Repater ) and Adamsville South ( yes, that’s adamsville south, we do have a repeater a good 18 to 20 miles north of Lampasas we’ve never announced until now ) are growing, we will be adding 2 dedicated backbone radios for both of those sites since they are currently connecting to the west AP and causing it to clog up with traffic at peak times.  We will also be adding a full DC circuit with 4 day batter system to prevent any stupid power problems and a chesty lightning arresting system.   We will be making climbs here and there completing this in phases and completing it with the fiber being repaired and the kempner North site officially becoming the Lampasas County Gateway.

In order to merge the 2 networks into one, and get it so all customer circuits can use either gateway depending on weather its up or down, or under heavy load or light load, we have to add some networking gear to several of our tower sites, so this will take some time to complete.  Once we are complete with this process we can fully roll out the IPv6 network and no more X-Box problems for anyone.

Briggs / Arrowhead

For reasons we can not release yet we had to disassemble the Arrowhead repeater.  We will be moving it over the next 2 weeks to another location we had been working on lining up.  Thru going out there to recover our gear and our utility pole transport trailer, we have learned it had been damaged and destroyed beyond repair.  As such, the Briggs installations will have to be delayed a week so we can hire a transport company to come move the utility poles for us.  This situation ended up completely outside our control and we do apologize about this and will get the work completed just as soon as we can.  We know there are lots of folks in that area and a few businesses anxiously waiting on this site to be completed.

Burnet South Fiber Gateway

We’ve had a delay with the power situation, seems our work order got screwed up somewhere when we had ordered a 125amp service, we purchased all 125amp rated gear and our power pedistal got a 200amp main so we’re waiting for that to come get switched out next week so we can get our power meter installed and the fiber fired up.

Equrina Big Tower

The big insane huge tower trench for the Equrina big tower and preparation of the tower base foundation and guy points is all set to be complete with concrete dropped mid next week and we will be building the tower with in a few days after that pending weather works with us.

7 Creeks Backbone Repair

We should be making the climb on Burnet Main for this repair on Monday.  All 7 creeks customers are still effected by the wonky speed issue.

Kingsland North

We will be adding a chesty full gig backbone radio pair from Eagles Nest to Kingsland North.  Kingsland is one of our fast growing areas so its just time.  We’re hoping to do this mid next week and the few active customers that are down or having had completed installs will be completed the same day and couple of days after.

Council Creek ( North Lake Buchanan / Spider Mount area / Wolf Creek )

Our Council Creek repeater site is rock solid now and we will be adding a chesty full gig backbone radio pair from Eagles Nest as well to serve that area.  That area is also one of our faster growing areas.   We will be completing a bigger permanent tower at the same site after Halloween and all the customers out there will be re-pointed to the new tower right after.

Kempner Main / Chica Ranch

This is our very next big job up as soon as weather allows.  We will be raising the Kempner Main tower located at the Our Friends 2 park an additional 20 feet and putting up the SUPER beefy radio pair we just took down from arrowhead up which will super charge this link, and provide WELL more than enough bandwidth for all our current customers and about another 75 to 80 customers we’re calculating, but to keep everyone speedy, we’re going to limit it to 50 until we get Kempner North hardline fiber connected.

Chica Ranch Fiber To The Home

We have just 2 more land owners to get in touch with to get the clearances that Hamilton requires for us to hang fiber to chica.  We do have our DMARC site secured and ready to go just still working on the leg work.  We’re REALLY hoping to get it in before black friday, but it’s probably going to be in December before the first installs start going in.We just finally got out there to repair the original fiber to the home customer we had live that one of the old staff we terminated this summer cut trenched and cut right thru.

Drastic Overall Performance Increase

As some of you know, and some of you don’t, we had a drastic change in staff in the beginning of June of this summer.  Additionally we there was the tornado in Kempner that took out our Kempner South repeater site and roughly 80 customer circuits that had been installed by the staff that where terminated that they took short cuts on and didnt’ install guy lines or improperly installed mounts and all the damage caused by the storm from these improper installations.  Will has worked tirelessly since then to repair everyone, and we’re down to less than 10 left.  He’s also repaired alot of the tower work that the previous staff had drastically messed up as well.

For the most part, our network is nearly back to 100% now.   Since Will is fully back at the help of Hyper Fusion and had full control back of everything and flushed the inferior staff and replaced them with much more capable folks we’ve had a drastic shift all the way around on all fronts.  Our new office manager has managed to help get us all in shape to pick up our customer support response and communication which has drastically improved.  Our new business manager / CFO whose actually qualified to be doing that sort of work with multiple decades of experience has managed to work with a books person we hired to completely rebuild our books from scratch, gotten all our sales tax, and federal taxes, and all that jazz all filed and caught up since they where behind and even got a good chunk of them paid and well on our way to having them all paid off.  We’ve gotten alot of our backbills caught up and other annoying little things left un-done done and complete.  Revenues are up, service quality is getting better, and we’re about to have a major upgrade to the south network.  Our Alexa traffic ranking graph over the past 90 days along with the revenue increases and our new properly formed business team have really managed to get Hyper Fusion back on track and well on our way to becoming the dominant internet provider in the Greater Highland Lakes area.  Just look at the Alexa rankings from our competitors below.  Proof is in the pudding folks.

On a much bigger note, we are just a few weeks away from releasing our first new custom radios with built in backup 4G LTE connections.  That’s right folks, we’re packing the power of the mobile hotspot right into our radios so your never all the way out of internet. Our new custom radio comes with built in 4G LTE fail over back up provided by our nationwide 4g LTE partner and get all the benifits of the several new 4G LTE providers right into your fixed point wireless radio and never have to worry about being totally out of internet again.  If your interested in one of these new custom radios that you can ONLY get thru Hyper Fusion cause we’re building em ourselves, then email sales@hyperfusiontech.com  with 4G LTE backup radio in the subject line, and we’ll get you on the list.

Week Ending Oct 5th

Last Weeks Work

Another successful 200 Mbps x 200 Mbps fiber to the home installation. Look at that really pretty 10ms ping time.

So everyone managed to get ALOT of work done last week.  We’ve  managed to get our Burnet Fiber gateway power post and everything installed so we can light up Briggs with live service, as well as the Burnet Fiber to the Home & Business DMARC.  We’re getting ever closer to linking the networks into one massive much stronger network.  We are OFFICIALLY THE ONLY PROVIDER IN THE HILL COUNTRY in our class to have dual fiber gateways from 2 different providers.  Don’t be fooled folks, ALL the other providers in Lampasas County do nothing but re-sell AT & T fiber which has been there for years.  We also picked up gear for the remaining folks that are waiting on repairs.  Also, we have received good news that, Blake our newest field engineer, is moving from part time to full time at some point during this month so that should help alot.

The week Upcoming

So as I’m sure many of you know, until we get the networks both fully joined into a single network, we have a very tight scheduled, and it may have changed drastically from what was posted last week in real time news chat.  With that in mind, all day Monday we will be working on the big Equrina Fields tower.  This is a key tower in the network joining process.

Tuesday we will be trenching and fixing up some customers in Council Creek that have been waiting MONTHS for repairs.  As well we will be climbing Burnet Main to put up a new 7 Creeks backbone radio to resolve the weird issue out there.

Wednesday and Thursday we will have Blake and another gentleman in Kempner getting those customers fixed up and ready.  Due to Will and Chris having to finish up the Burnet folks and complete out the Briggs fiber DMARC installation, we will not be able to finish the Kempner Main repeater until monday of next week.

Thursday we will be in Lampasas finishing off a few repairs and a couple new installs so we’re full up on Thursday.  This Friday we do not have ANYTHING scheduled as we’re saving it for any work we miss this week to ensure that EVERYONE gets helped this week and all our tower and delivery network work get done.

Best Way to Get Help

As a reminder we have multiple people working support tickets now, and not all during normal business hours, as I’m sure many of you have noticed from times of reply.  We ask that everyone focus their request there when ever possible.  Go online, on your computer or phone and login to your Fusion Portal and click the support tab on the left.  We do however have live customer agents available Tuesday through Friday 10am to 4PM for phone and live website chat support if you prefer.  Outside of Live Support Agent hours, Emili, our AI, can also help you.  You can call, SMS, or send our Facebook page a message to interact with Emili.  She can give you all kinds of information.

Summer Recovery Information

It has come to our attention that there were some customer refunds that were not mailed out this summer.  If you are still expecting a refund from last year and didn’t get it, please email billing@hyperfusiontech.com   and we will get you fixed up right away.  Please be patient, we didn’t mean to over look those few folks that didn’t get them.  However, now that we have flushed the old staff that caused all those issues to begin with at the beginning of 2019, we’ve had no more issues with circuits and we’re down to less then 10 folks who have yet to be repaired system wide.  Just take a look at your customer number, we started with customer one.  And if you just signes up for services in the last 6 months, check your customer ID number ( we’re renaming this to your Account ID# now as well, just so everyone knows ) and you’ll know how many customers we have.  ALOT, lol. Especially for just a little company of less then 10 staff, and only 3 of those are field staff.

The Hyper Fusion Difference

Unlike any other provider in our class in our area, we install and deploy our own private fiber and we are the only provider to do so.  In order to do this, not only do you have to know what your doing, but you also have to prove to other agencies you know what your doing.  You also have to file for BUILDING PERMITS to be able to do work like this, especially in the public right of ways.  As you can see, Hyper Fusion has ZERO problems sharing this, as permits are public information anyhow.  No other provider has posted any permits at all.  Well, where are the photos of their guys installing it?  Where is there publicly available permits?  You just simply can’t find them because they don’t exist. The ONLY provider other than the big box that have been in the area to have been issued such permits is HYPER FUSION.  This fiber gateway location was super important to Hyper Fusion and the community because it is now able to service the Briggs fiber DMARC.  the Briggs location is DIRECTLY connected to the Burnet site, already.  We just have to go splice in some fiber cable ports to plug into our fiber routers and switches and away we go. ( Essentially, go put an cable end on the cable so it will plug into stuff ).

And the claims that we got some big outside investor is just not true. Hyper Fusion was and is 100% funded and fueled by our owners. Period.  Hyper Fusion was started FOR this area by folks FROM this area.  This is the reason we are going just a touch slower than normal, because our ownership pool and combination of company funds is what builds this.  Chris and Will earn every penny they get and dump it right back into the company.  They do not drive around in brand new trucks or run around in Armani suits.  Over the last 2 years, they have CLEARLY made a commitment to their community to provide the best possible internet at the best possible price.  Here are some photos below of the Burnet fiber location and Will working out in the country in the right of way, as our legally obtained permit allows us.  Don’t be tricked with getting stuck with AT & T through  another re-seller.  Get internet that runs on a TOTALLY separate network and never run the risk of getting stuck in the clog of AT & T fiber.

Additionally, as I’m sure you’ll see the odd photo out, we’ve created a brand new customer quick start guide.  That clearly breaks out all our little funny nuances about Hyper Fusion and how to get started with your new service to ensure help and communication is established right from the point of survey.  I’m sure most of you would have loved to have a quick start guide.  By next weekend we will be posting the QuickStart guide available for download and pdf format.
